Wine Tasting at The Montage Resort in Laguna Beach

The Montage LobbyShe Says:I hesitate to share this with you.  I share this with you and I could lose my favorite Sunday outing because you might end up crowding me out, but here goes.  The Montage Resort in Laguna Beach has Sunday afternoon wine tastings.  A day at the Montage is like a quick little trip to Great Aunt Nellies house in Maine .  I don’t actually have a Great Aunt Nellie in Maine, but I’m sure if I did, her place would look and feel like the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach.  With an architecture that is decidely not Californian, and it’s a visual change that revives my spirit.  An excellent good wine time and highly sophisticated choices that will add joy and interest to your wine tasting.   We’ll be posting notes from a few of our wine tastings at the Montage in just a bit.

Good news — their Artistry of Wine tasting happen almost every Sunday afternoon in Laguna Beach.   Here’s the scoop.
Artistry of Wine Tasting Series – The Loft Bistro  Sundays 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  $25 per person   Reservations required, call 949-715-6420

Even better news — they’re building a Montage in Beverly Hills, set to open in Fall 2008.  Will they have tastings in Beverly Hills?  The official word is “dont know yet, check back” but my guess is they will.

You’ll want to know this, too — in addition to really talented wine sommelier’s The Montage has a CHEESE sommelier — perhaps that is a bastardization of the word, but once you meet her and taste what she has brought forth, you’ll get it.  I said, “Have I died and gone to heaven?”  YES I have … more about the cheese later.
